Hunter's Hurdles are a unique and versatile plant support system. They can be used all the year round in flower beds and borders, in the vegetable garden, greenhouse and indoors. Plants can be staked at any stage of growth or rescued after collapsing due to wind and heavy rain. Each Hurdle is gently curved, with a hook and eye, which links into the next Hurdle to form rings, restraints and enclosures to any size or shape. This very traditional method of supporting summer flowering herbaceous plants and climbers dates back to early Victorian times when willow withies were bent into plant supports. Ideal for use throughout the year, particularly as a rescue for tall-stemmed plants. Positioned in early spring a cluster of Plantsman's Bows also makes for an unusual feature before they are covered in foliage and flowers. A Plantsman's Bow is made up of two 'hoops'.
A decorative finish to any flower border and a practical solution to keeping pathways and lawn edges free from overgrowing plants. Use especially during the growing season to protect plants from 'over enthusiastic' lawn mowers and well-trodden walkways.

High Tails are 2m tall and are produced from tough, 8mm tube. They are ideal for vigorous climbing plants in the garden and will support a spectacular display of sweet peas or a prolific crop of runner beans.
My collection of plant supports would not be complete without the traditional grow 'through' supports. For young and well-established herbaceous border plants alike there are three sizes of frame: 50cm, 40cm and 30cm on varying leg heights. Every frame comes complete with 3 legs.
Simply position the growframe over young plant growth early in the season and allow the leaves and stems to grow through the 'honeycomb' grid. As the plant matures the frame will hold individual stems and heavy flower heads as well as supporting the whole plant. When the plant is fully grown the growframe is almost completely concealed.
